Pastel-colored rooms for cooking, breakfast and rout dinners will surprise you with its light atmosphere. Here we will tell you about “candy” kitchen rooms and tell you what you might need to create such a room in your home.

There are several types or pastel tones rooms. The first one is a minimalist room in Scandinavian style. The second one is a French Provence kitchen . Kitchens with beautiful wooden ornaments and retro design of 1950s and 1960s are also popular styles used nowadays.

These are the main images which are used by designers when they work with kitchen in pastel tones. Each of these styles is good in its own way, but the main trend in 2015 in Scandinavian style. The reason of this choice is in the simplicity of its implement. The kitchen is made in off-white, vanilla, snow-white shades. Then decor gradually bought in small interior shops and even on a flea market is added to the kitchen.

French Provence, or Dutch variant needs more attention to decor quality. Here you can’t buy a Hello Kitty logo apron, even if you do really want it. Simply in 19th century Europe produced all toys for kids itself.

Retro style may be the difficult variant to you if you do not have some original old cute stuff at home. However, you can use the same flea markets and garage sales, antique stores and thrifts to hunt for the unique furniture and decor units for your original retro kitchen. Here you can also mix things “taken” from different epochs.

Classic style kitchen needs no introduction. This style takes some features from France, Italy and Bulgaria all together. It is simple in performing and maintenance.

The most beautiful candy kitchens in pastel tones are made when you combine the features of a European Provence kitchen and contemporary Scandinavian decor. You can take design from the one style adding decor details from another one, or vice versa. Of course, these experiment need the presence of a good taste and a clear goal – the image of your future kitchen. However, the result will be excellent!

Original decorative techniques which can be used for the kitchen in pastel colors are not limited with floral patterns and of small birds images. You can use small and large polka dots, traditional Scandinavian motifs in your textiles. Using porcelain units and fine decor you can create a collection of balls with snow, collect postcards from various places in France and other countries, hang lavender bunches in kitchen corners and pick paintings with muffins and cakes in pink and sky blue shades.

In any case, the pastel tones kitchen needs white color. Many home owners ignore this rule, leaving only two white pillows in dining room. We do not recommend you to do it.

By the way, the next season most popular pastel colors will be mint, pale pink, yellow sorbet, light purple, cornflower blue, sky blue and traditional vanilla.
