Lively fire in the interior symbolizes a calm and cozy house. If you think about the design of living-dining room don’t forget about the fire: log, gas or electric one.

If you still think about how to design your living-room pay attention to fireplaces. Fire place in the living-room is an element that will bring unforgettable cozy atmosphere.

Fireplace is an open place, in medieval Europe it was the center of the house. Definitely, it took its stable place in the living-dining room, which is a social place within any interior. You cannot imagine any meal or celebration without the fireplace. At first it is just a hearth in a deep wall niche, later it is a niche with the portal and mantelpiece and chimney. The modern fireplace made this transformation way throughout the ages. Classic fireplaces warmed and adorned living-dining rooms of the castles and manors from gothic, Renaissance, Barcoo, Rococo and empire to modern. Classic fireplace in a living-dining room today has returned to country houses and to some city apartments too. Not only fans of classics like to place a traditional fireplace within a living-dining room. It is estimated also by the fans of modernism and high-tech. Let’s review the variants.

Modern classic adds simplicity to the portal shape and mantelpiece. The convenient place for a fireplace was found on the cross of two premises: hall with a staircase leading upwards, and open space of the living-dining room.

Fireplace can be also equipped with the stove, or the stove with the fireplace. Old Russian motives of this stove-fireplace are obviously noticed here.

Log fireplace within this huge hall living-dining room of the country house is built in the rhythm and style of ceiling plasterwork. All these elements remind a country castle of Petersburg.

A small fireplace built in the wall with the mantelpiece filled with different items is opposite to modern.

In this case we can see not very dimensional fireplace. But it represents the most important spots within the interior.

Expensive materials, much wood, paintings and graphics rhymes look good along with art-deco shapes of this fireplace in the living-dining room.

Modern interior corresponds well with the modern bio-fireplace, which is quite trendy today.

English fireplace or installed within the niche requires English interior but in modern interpretation.
