This compact three-room apartment which square is 60 square meters has got the name 3 Vaults. The R3architetti Italian architectural studio has realized this project in Milan, Italy. Initially the 3 Vaults apartment is designed to be rent. The project offers three areas – a living room combined with a dining room and a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. Both the sleeping room and the bathroom are pretty compact. Designers installed the original 1905 ceiling in these suite.
The living room has got a diagonal position. Such a design has expanded the space perception. The kitchen is finished with reinforced concrete and has doors made from oak wood. It is designed in the way to divide the housing dining area from an extra zone which can be used as an additional or storage room. A large table with a wooden countertop is placed in the kitchen centre, open pipes from steel are coated with zink.
Even if you are far from being an expert specializing in architectural styles and home designes, you will definitely notice the industrial style in this unique apartment. Metal and stylish metal pipes are used in furniture structure, wood and concrete may seem gloomy, but they are combined so elegant, that the 3 Vaults looks gorgeous. The light fixtures are presented by simple open bulbs pendants. You won’t find the special decor in the apartments. As the project foresees the future “inhabitants” of this housing will add the decor details to the apartment according to their tastes.
The apartment is perfect for a family which prefers minimalism in design, but loves when everything around has its functions. Each decor detail in the 3 vaults has its purpose.
