Every day modern architects and designers turn the most bold innovative ideas concerning optimizing and organization of living space into life. Today their special attention is focused on modular constructions which can be adapted to any space.
Italian designer Luca Nichetta has recently presented a very interesting project which was called Cubitat. This is a cube form construction. Its structure is very simple. The most necessary for living things and equipment, such as a bed, a TV, a stove, a dishwasher and a washing machine,a shower and a toilet are integrated into the cube niches. The construction is extremely compact and functional.
One of the Cubitat walls is equipped as a usual kitchen and features a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The living room space which is used as a bedroom as well is placed on the other side of this unique consol. TV is placed in the middle of the wall. A double bed can be pulled out easily.
There is a bathroom with a dryer and a washing machine inside the cube. A lot of cabinets “surround” the Cubitat by its perimeter. The construction features various shelves for storing miscellaneous.
Designing Cubitat, Luca Nichetta was inspired by the idea of prefabricated houses and contemporary production methods. This project can definitely become popular in small houses or apartments and studios. All elements of the cube can be rearranged in the order which is the most convenient for the customer.
